Pellet press is a machine used to produce pellets. Wood pellets are a type of solid fuel in the form of small cylindrical granules produced from wood waste. The raw material is finely granulated morphological material from finely ground wood (fir, white pine, spruce, beech), as well as residual wood from wood processing.
The machine forms the pellets at high pressure and temperature. The pellet press uses pressure to produce heat, which allows the lignin contained in the wood to melt at a temperature above 100º C, which in turn allows the pressed wood to take on the desired shape. Hot lignin acts as an adhesive.
The result is eco-pellets well compacted and with an ideal cylindrical shape. The moisture content in the cooled pellet is in the range of 6% - 8% and calorific value - 4442 kcal / kg.

CONDITIONS FOR OPERATION OF PELLET PRESS
- The pellet press facility is designed to operate under the following conditions:
- Altitude: up to 2000m;
- Ambient air temperature: from -10ºС to 40ºС;
- Humidity: from 20% to 90% (at 20ºC)
- Operating mode: S1-continuous;
- Electromagnetic environment: industrial;
- Supply voltage: 380 ± 5% at a frequency of 50Hz ± 1%.
Pellet press is a machine that is used to produce pellets from raw material specified in the contract for the machine.
A dosing screw feeds the raw material to the press. Its speed is increased to normal until it is in sync with the machine's main motor. It transports the raw material to the rear end of the machine.
The auger homogenizer takes it and transports it to the front end of the press, where it pours it onto the auger - Fig.5. The latter feeds it to the working space of the machine.
In the pellet press there are two sectors of the guide /Fig.9, Pos.9.2/, which collect the material and drop it onto the rollers of the machine. Centrifugal forces direct the raw material into the space between the rollers and the die. The rotation of the die directs the movement of the mixture to the rollers, it is compressed and passes through the holes of the die.
The compression causes an increase in the density of the mixture and together with the generated heat facilitates the extrusion of the pellets. The length of the pellets can be changed by adjusting the blades / Fig.9, Pos. 9.1./ The pellets fall into the gutter and pass to the cooling phase.pitted avocado
